Finally managed to catch the SEB outbreak - it's very obvious now.

Skywatcher 10" F4.7 Newtonian at x240.

20:20UT, seeing III.

That's looking much bigger now, and quite dark.

I got all wrapped up and went outside at 20:45 to find it was totally cloudy!

I can see a darker band in the SEB region now quite clearly (both on the 24th and the 25th), but not surprisingly I have not made out the outbreak sopt with my scope.

Fantastic David. I've not managed to get out at the right times to catch the outbreak as yet.

My first chance to see the revival spot was on the 23rd. It looked like there were two dark spots with a tail extending behind them, angled slightly to the south. The quick sketch i did looks much the same as yours David, except mine has Io about 1/4 of the way across the disc.

I wanted to stay out and study things for a while, but it was -11C and there was a nice warm woodstove waiting for me in the living room... can't pass up a hot date like that!
