Adobe PS CS v8.0

Hello all

The better half is a teacher and she brought home her new laptop, as I'm a nosey parker i was browsing through what was installed and found the above.

Is this a light weight version of full PS ? Without any of the doc's how can i found out ?

I THINK its a full earlier version of Photoshop.

Version 8.0 is the first CS version of Photoshop, released in 2003. Adobe are on version 12.0 (CS5) now.

All the more recent versions of Photoshop (certainly 7 onward) are very competent and powerful image editors. Each version has added bells and whistles and there has been emphasis in recent times to add 3D and vector based tools, none of which are really of use for conventional image processing.

CS has lots of the powerful functions such as curves, levels, layers, channels and masks, all of which are useful.

..as you can see PS 8.0 (CS) is a pretty powerful image editor.
