Jupiter through murky skies, 12 Oct

Poor and variable transparency on Tuesday 12th but the seeing was fairly reasonable, with moderate amplitude but mostly slow boiling. The transparency increased the required exposure / gain considerably resulting in noisy images ... and in fact cloud closed in a few seconds before the end of the last image set in this run ....

Tried first with 1.5x barlow (actually giving about 1.8x)

Standalone 1.5x infra red (Astronomik Planet Pro 742)

2122 UT. CM1 145 deg CM2 319 deg

Then dropped down to prime focus, which seemed to work better ... 125% resize in post processing ...

I've not seen the sky since then - just cloud, cloud, cloud 8-(
