Comparing Baader Hyperions to the Vixen LVWs

I do indeed.

The 8.5-12mm zoom is hard to find in UK, so I got it from Canada. For the performance it offers in fast scopes, and the large FOV (82° across the range), it's a no-brainer bargain. I've owned it for almost two years now, which might be a record for me!

However, it's a large eyepiece, especially at the shorter f/ls, and needs lots of in-focus. For example, I installed a low-profile focuser to my 16" Lightbridge, and I needed to use a 1.25" diagonal in my 120ED. IMHO, these are minor drawbacks for what you get.
