32mm plossl

Hi SGL,

I have for sale at the moment a 32mm plossl 1.25. Anyone got any idea who might have manufactured it? Nothing on the ep or the box it came in gives any clue to its origin. All I can say is I paid £40.00 for it.

Many of the branded and unbranded ones are made in Taiwan. I guess it could have come from a number of manufacturers over there.

If you could post a picture of it there might be some clues ?

It'll almost certainly be one of Jinghua, Yulin or GSO

Difficult to be more specific since all three make near-identical Plossls.

Note that it will not have been sold under any of those brand names, but instead be sold as a (e.g.) "Sky-Watcher" or "Teleskop-Service" or some other vendor not responsible for the actual manufacture.

I would say it is a skywatcher model, it looks almost identical

I think Tom's right.

It's not merely that the size of the writing is the same, but the "32" is in a very slightly smaller font than "PLOSSL". Since making "32" very slightly smaller is an unusual thing to do, that suggests to me that they're the same.

In your Sale advert, I don't think it would be wrong to put:

"Sky-Watcher (?)" as the make

(note the question mark)
