First stab at Webcam imaging

Recommended Posts

Hi guys - Seems ages since I posted a message.

The other Saturday I got bored and butchered a VGA Logitech Webcam passed to me by a family friend.

I'll post a picture of said frankenstein of nature seperately but here is an image I took of Jupiter last night

First attempt a Webcam work so I'm still experimenting with the settings

150 mm Skywatcher Mak

No Barlow (clouds moved in before I got the chance!)

2600 out of 3200 frames.

Still experimenting !!!

Enjoy

Jarvo

Looks good! You're right I think a Barlow would help, and maybe a bit more colour saturation.

Jupiter was looking quite plain last night, with no Red spot and still only the single belt. I'm looking forward to trying again when there's more surface detail to capture (or cloud detail as it were :icon_salut: )
