first ever solar images.

Hi,these are my first ever solar images.Taken at 11 20 am today,

through hazy cloud,with the telescope aimed through a bedroom window. Mount was not motorised.Two avis 10 seconds long,

processed with registax 5 only.

Telescope...modified vixen 80 mf,with Baader ERF,and coronado

bf10....... Never done it before. Focus not very fine and etalon tuning off optimum... but its a start:)

You have taken the plunge and caught the bug it looks like! The kit sounds like a great set to start with. The learning curve is pretty steep but the results are noticeable at every stage. Simple suggestions to start... image with the window open or outside. Less haze is best and hopefully lucky on the seeing conditions. As the fps with the avi's is so short... you might be able to get away without a motorised mount while learning the best adjustment on the etalon and the focus for your camera. A focus mask may be invaluable here. nice start and good luck!
