What software does what? Oh and what does this option mean?

OK up till now I thought you used K3CCD for capturing from the webcam and then you stacked and enchanced it with Registax and maybe a final touchup with Photoshop.

BUT.......

I now see in K3CCD options for alinging and stacking in there, I have not heard of anybody using this, is it that Registax is much better/faster than K3CCD for this?

Also when in Registax after loading in the captured video in the quality estimator box I set this to 80. My understanding was that this was the bit where it selected the best quality frames etc. But when this is finished then next screen seems to allow me to move the slider to select the quality cutoff and this cuts down the number of frames. So what do the 2 options do/mean?
