Venus - 18/09/2010

Thought there hadn't been many images of it recently, so here's a quick and dirty image of Venus from this afternoon. The seeing was truly boiling, but at least you can get the crescent.

Imaged with an SPC900, SW200, 3x Televue Barlow. Around 900 frames stacked in Registax.

Good shot, did you take that the day after tomorrow???

I was able to watch Venus until it actually set on the horizon this evening, the air was that clear, then a minute later ISS popped up about 10 degrees to the North of where Venus had set. That was my treat, as I had to investigate some faulty equipment instead of chilling with the scope.

Whoops! I obviously meant Thursday, 16th September. Trouble is, you can't seem to edit the title of the message after you've posted it.
