Strange happenings

May be this has to do with that frighteningly bright star to the East in the early evening sky - LOL or something even more spooky maybe.

I was running an imaging session last night, all was well so I left it going and went in and watched a TV program.

Afterwards I went out to check things and all the images looked great but as I sat there waiting for the next image to finish the guiding plot went mental in RA and result was a ruined sub, the bouncing went on, after checking for cable snags, restarting PHD guiding and restarting the mount the RA was still misbehaving and ruining all the shots.

So I decided anyway to let things run and went to bed for 3 hours, I got up at dawn and checked the subs, well blow me the second I left the guiding obviously worked for the remaining time.....:icon_scratch:

Oh I should explain my shed with the computers is well away from the obsy, it just started up when I went to check and each time I started guiding the RA was oscillating like I have never seen before for about an hour this went on and no wind either, normally it DEC that gives me grief! soon as I went the problem seemed to "fixed" itself.
