Trouble balancing an EQ5 mount

Hello,

Hope somebody in SGL can help me out. I have an EQ5 mount that has not seen light for just over a year. When I set the telescope up, I found the RA mechanism was stuck. Managed to free the mechanism, turns in both directions okay but is still too stiff to be able to balance the telescope against the balance weights properly.

Is there a tech manual that will show me the workings of the RA gearings or has somebody all ready stripped the mechanism down and understands the mechanical side of it. Hopefully all it will need is a good lubrication of the teeth and the RA mechanism will run much more smoothly.
