These were both originally taken 4th march last year but after my earlier attempts at 3D .....

See what you think, personally I like the Apennines image.

Great images, but I don't get the 3D bit.

Surely, for 3D to work you need two different images taken from slightly different viewpoints, not identical shots?

Strictly speaking these are described as stereoscopic not 3d

As I said before I personally think it works rather well with the Apennines pic -get the distance from the image right and there's a real sense of depth ! You're perfectly welcome to disagree however

Cross your eyes and vary the distance from the screen until you have a single image in the centre , then just focus on that one.

Subject matter certainly makes a difference
