RGB align in DSS

Maybe you could help?

I have been using DSS to stack (JPEG) images and seem to get this result with the RGB histogram - pic below is untouched after stack has finished!. I DO check the "Align RGB channels in final image" box.

So - when manually aligning these three which one do I align on? The right hand, left hand or the one in the middle? (they are not always in the same order colourwise). Or does it not matter?

Or is it just me and this is just an admission that I'm a) stupid or Doing something wrong?

I usually align all three behind each other so they match up.

Ditto, but normally I have DSS align them up automatically.
