iphone/ipod telescope control

good morning all..

thanks to the help of alot of members here i have had all my problems solved so now everything works its down to making life easier, i have a HEQ5 pro mount that i control with EQmod from my pc and all works well, i was going to go out and buy myself a wireless gamepad to help with aligning as my laptop is not right next to my scope, but then i was thinking there surely must be some app for my iPhone that will do this?

do anyone here know of one?

Skyvoyager has scope control, but you need to buy a separate wifi dongle for the scope.

£149 seems a bit on the expensive side

I believe that Orion StarSeek with it's WiFi module should work as well .

If you use EQMOD why not run a VNC server on your laptop then get the VNC client for the iPhone. That way you can use keypad slewing which is controlled directly by your iPhone and it'll save you 150 quid.

Mocha VNC costs £3.49 but you can get the lite version for free to try it out. I use it to skip ads on my MythTV box and it works a treat.

In fact might try this myself...
