Enjoying Jupiter tonight.

Just had a brief session and decided to take a look at Jupiter. I hadn't visited Jupiter before as Ive only recently had my scope. It really is a fantastic sight for the first time of viewing. My first scope is a TAL1 and I wasn't really expecting to see what I did. You actually get a decent sized disc using the 25mm plossi and 2x Barlow. Could only see 3 of the moons but there again in my excitement I may have simply not noticed a fourth.

At present Jupiter is quite low here although it is climbing and so ill give her a couple of hours to settle higher up then go back.

Great you got your first view of Jupiter. The moon you missed was Ganymede and this was because it was in transit, passing in front of Jupiter itself.
