A film of cirrostratus (obviously contrail derived ) this morning didn't help but at least the seeing was moderate rather than poor. The cirrostratus gradually thickened during the afternoon, it's now grey ...

The overview shows little obvious change from yesterday:

0906 UT. Coronado PST CaK, prime focus, DMK41

0912 UT. Solarscope 60, 0.5x focal reducer, DMK41

AR 11101 continues as a single fully formed medium sized spot. There is a tiny pore just to its west today.

Here's a closeup of the broad filament to its north east, which has grown and darkened since yesterday:

AR 11102 has, however, evolved considerably. The easternmost spot has grown but there appears to be a patch of penumbra invading, reducing the umbra to a ragged crescent shape. The other spots have decayed to numerous spotlets and pores.
