Broken cloud today but a very strong wind prevented me from deploying the "big guns".

1351 UT. Coronado PST CaK, prime focus, DMK41

1434 UT. Solarscope 60, 0.5x focal reducer, DMK41

There is a new active area right on the meridian in the northern hemisphere. Unable to use the FLT110 due to wind vibration, I was restricted to 60mm aperture - the loss of resolution is obvious but I have just about managed to capture the "rice grain" granulation:

Meanwhile, the main spot in AR 11101 persists, but the pores in the trailing plage seem to have decayed:

Transparency good between broken clouds rapidly forming, decaying and drifting in the strong wind. Seeing moderate with significant boiling. Wind N force 5-6 with occasional gusts to force 7. Temperature 15C.
