Persids meteor 12 August

Hi, I went out last night and seen some Persids, seen about a dozen or so, but only 3 with really good tails on them. Also I was firing off random shots at the part of the sky. I managed out of 50 shots to get 1 shot and also an airplane in another shot going through the frame.

Canon 1000d, 30 secs @ ISO 1600:

I aint process it yet, and also there is amp glow but at least I managed to catch 1 to store in my astro pic collection...lol.

I can't tell if that's a meteor or not. If you have a shot of the same sky location taken a second or so after this image, see if the trail continues on. If this is the case then this is more likely to be a flaring satellite. Even if it is a meteor, it's not a Perseid I'm afraid.
