johninderby
We'll have to see what happens over the winter. The 80mm is just being released so will they go for anything larger than a 127 or 130?The 80mm is just out under the Orion brand and I'm sure it won't be long before there's a SkyWatcher version. I got my 80/480 FPL-53 Triplet a couple of days ago, which is being sold by Telescope Service under ther brand name. Stunningly good optics and virtually the same size and weight as a Megrez 72. It's my new little portable APO.Wonder what's going to happen to the Meade triplet with it's FPL-51 equivalent glass when it's competing with the similarly priced Synta FPL-53 triplet. Should be an interesting winter.John
