The 200 inch at mount Palomar has motors rated at a similar output to domestic hair driers, I read somewhere.

Yes, it has a 1/8 hp motor for tracking, which is about 100W (slew motors are more like 1 hp). You can (literally) push it around with your hand :)

Like Deneb, I have an MN190 (10-12 Kg, depending which site you believe) on my EQ6, with a D3 hanging off the front of it, and the system seems pretty solid. I'm mounting my Vixen with it as soon as I can afford a dual bar, and I am confident it will take the additional weight.
