LRGB imaging?

Hi all just a quick question about CCD imaging. I have just purchased my first CCD (mono), I live in a light polluted area. When doing LRGB imaging can a LP filter be used or is it not needed with LRGB filters (astronomik). I have to use a LP filter with my DSLR but is it the same for CCD, thanks,,,Paul.

best thing is to give it a try. An LP filter will soak up some photons whichever channel you use it on. Luminance may be the worst affected. It may be that treating the LP in post processing is the best way.

I have a Astronmik CLS filter but to be honest I find it kills the red channel and I find it easier to tackle the LP( and I do have quite a lot of it living in swindon) during post processing.

So I go LRGB, no LP filter.

Mike.
