C/2009 R1 (McNaught)

Recommended Posts

C/2009 R1 (McNaught) is currently an easy binocular object visible low above the NE horizon near the star Gamma Andromedae early in the morning before sunrise. Despite the Moon currently being present in the same area the comet appears to have a bright core and coma and a very faint tail.
