Im looking for a Thingy... but what is it ?

Recommended Posts

On the Equatorial Wedge for my LX10 there are two holes on one edge Horizontal , this has the "thingy" for the fine tuning of the scope when doing polar alignment. this is next to the Bubble spot.

This is adjusted but 2 screws left and right but I have no idea where they would attach.

I hope I have made the part clear...

Any clues?

Do you have an Azimuth adjustment on the wedge? A long threaded bolt that traverses the wedge itself, and terminates with a plastic wheel at each end. I'm sure that is where a finger bolts to, and that bolt passes through it, to enable fine back and forth azimuth tuning.

If I'm right, there should be a casting to bolt where those holes are.

Just doesn't look right where it is positioned now though.

Post some pics of the other side of the wedge.

I may be getting confused, as it is years since my wedge was transferred to a pier, which meant I had to modify that bit.
