Advice on using AmCap with Celestron Neximage CCD

Recommended Posts

Fairly new into all of this and want to try and make use of the Celestron NeximageCCD I`ve brought.

I`ve downloaded AMCap along with the Vista Drivers.

Can anyone give me a point in the right direction with regards to the best settings to imput in AMCap for this combination?

I set the Framerate at 15 the other evening and got what resembled a very old VHS recording on fast forward (you could not make anything out onscreen)

Any help/advice much appreciated.

Mark

I always use 5fps.

It doesn't tend to produce a 'viewable' video, but when stacked in registax, produces some quite good images.

You may want to have a look at rwg's Sharpcap, which is a similar program, but avoids all the tedious calling up different screens and overwriting the last file because you forgot to set up a new filename.

Thanks for the quick response.

I`ve just done a google search but been unable to find Sharpcap, could you possibly point me in the right direction to find it?

Thanks again
