I just stuck my head out the door and it's a clear night but there is a very strong and gusty northerly wind blowing. Unfortunately too strong for the dob, but I popped out to do a bit of naked eye observing and in literally 5 minutes I saw 3 satellites including an iridium flare and then finally a very bright and long lasting meteor. Only downsides were that the meteor disappeared behind some trees and I didn't see it's last fleeting moments and the other is it's far too cold out there, feels like March not May.

and yes its wayyy to cold for the season, got the worst of both worlds, brighter nights and cold weather!
