shooting across my eyepiece?

hi all at about 10.06 last night i was veiwing saturn when in my eyepiece was a bright blue point of light travelling from top to bottom theres no way it was a plane because it was in veiw for few second meaning it must be far away right?

any ideas what i have seen?

this is the first time i have veiwed saturn as im a newbie

Most likely a satellite. According to the Heavens Above web site the UARS satellite passed near Saturn around about that time last night. It's magnitiude 2.3 so pretty easy to see, even without a scope.

Seen the exact same thing last night same time i was curious to what it is too.

Have just been tracking saturn for the past hour and its looking very sweet tonight i can make out 2 moons too.

tried mars earllier but no where near as clear as saturn
