Celestron T-Adapter, Universal 1-1/4"

Recommended Posts

So peter the one you showed me the 1.25" T mount camera adapter would that definitely fit into my Celestron Astromaster 130eq? also the EOS T-ring would fit into my Canon EOS 1000D camera?

Sorry for all these questions.

You definitely will need a barlow lens to bring the telescope into focus with the camera. The Skywatcher 130/650 has a problem in focusing with a camera attached and the Celestron Astromaster is the same OTA. The problem is that there is insufficient back focus (adjusting the focuser inwards) to bring the camera sensor to the point of focus of the telescope. Adding a barlow lens pushes the point of focus further away from the secondary. The shorter adapter I showed you means that the camera can get closer to the end of the focuser tube than the Celestron model. You may find that the Celestron adapter is too long with a barlow added to acheive focus and it is easier to add length to the image path than to remove it.
