satellite crossing view ?

Hi,

Just went out to have a look at the moon to test mein new Nagler 13mm ;),

Beautiful view even with the warm air turbulences.

Then something maybe 2 - 3mm small moved in a few seconds horizontal trough the field of view. Had a longish shape and was fastly spinning and looked dark red.

It was clearly in focus so i am not sure if it could have been a party balloon ?

Before I got my scope I thought it would be a rare sight for something to pass though my FOV. I was wrong, they happen all the time!! My guess is that it was a satellite.

What time was it? ISS has been passing over mine around 3am ish

Using Stellarium you can track some (all?) satellites.

Moving back to the day of your post (23rd), using Surrey as the location and winding it forwards from an hour before your post (only a guess as to when you were viewing) I can see FO-29 passed fairly close to the moon at 19:46.

FO-20 FO-29 Satellite (ON6MU)

Probably wrong as it's just a complete guess, it certainly doesn't match your description ;)
