Registrax 5 not stacking much

Hi

Took some AVI shots of the Moon last night - 100 Secs worth as 10FPS so a 1000 frames, when processed in Registrax 5 its only stacking 4 frames, overall the quality of each of the 1000 frames is good so I don’t understand why its stacking so few ?

You can tell it home many frames to stack. After you have run the alignment, try dragging the slider along the bottom till you have - say - 250 frames. Then click limit.

Alternatively try playing around with the different quality estimators, eg Classic, Gradient, Local Contrast.

I tend to use a "best N frames" method when doing a mosaic as it seems to produce more consistent results than relying on Registax.
