Sun Pillar Glasgow Sunset 10.4.10

think i seen my 1st Sun or Solar Pillar last night around 8.15pm in

Glasgow, as the Sun was setting

actual view was stunning, much better than few pics show

i was on way for KFC at time and Sun Pillar was easily noticed

took pics in KFC car park using my Sony k800i 3mp Mob phone Cam

Venus was visible but doesn't show up in pic,

was wishing i had better camera

pics reduced from 2048 to 768 size and nothing else has been done

as didn't want to mess them up

Pillar can be seen to left of McD's Sign

inbetween 2 distant streetlights

any comments appreciated

I have often seen these things right after sunset. Always think they are quite surreal
