EL Flat Frame

I've got myself a EL light Panel (A3 size) and want to make it into flat frame for my explorer 200p DS. I therefore want to cut a 250x250mm square from it. That's easy enough to do however there would be a reasonable amount of wastage, enough to make another flat frame for the ED80.

However can I cut the electrodes?

Not sure you can actually cut the panels. I made an A3 size panel here:

Why not just leave it at A3 and let it overlap the aperture? You'll also have a bigger panel if you decide to upgrade later.

If you really dont have to cut it, then dont. The moisture will get in and shorten its effective life.
