Light pollution woes...

I'd almost given up on photography as this is the kind of result I get:

However, I realised I could utilise my knowledge of Paintshop Pro and have a play with this image.

I separated the image into RGB, then adjusted each image for levels, contrast, highlight and shadow. Finally I combined the RGB images to get this:

Much better, but not quite ideal. Hopefully I can get some less polluted images to work with and see what happens.

Yes, but it's for my scope not my camera lenses. This was a 90mm on a Nikon D-70 with an exposure of 60 seconds.

Interestingly I have one taken with just 15 seconds exposure which has a darker background and just as many stars...
