Baader Hyperion 5mm & 14 + 28 FTR's

Hi All,

I've just picked up a virtually unused one off Ebay, with the fine tune rings.

I've heard you can also remove one of the elements to make it into a lower power eyepiece, 22.5mm.

Is this easy enough, or am I worth getting a separate eyepiece for this?

when you unscrew the 1.25 final lower element the eypiece becomes a 2" eyepiece at 22.5

If you intend to use the fine tuning rings in your 2" diagonal, a word of caution, Baader advise the use of an adjustable locking ring to stop the assembly extending to far into the diagonal and damaging the mirror, just thought I would mention it, just in case.

Ooh, thanks for that John. I did see them on 365 website, so I will probably get one as I'm going to get the t2 ring adapter for it too.
