WO feild flatteners for ED80

Just in case anyone is interested the very good French Mag Astronomie have just reviewed the WO flattener 11 and the adjustable 111 version. In the classic SW ED80 they concluded that the 11 was much better than the 111 so if you use one of these scopes, as many do, that might be worth knowing. The 111 gives less vignetting on full format but since neither flattener could provide decent stars at that size it hardly seems to matter.

I use the TRF2008 from Televue without problems on an ATIK4000.

Mine goes in an out by a millimetre or so. I didn't know it was deliberate!

Common knowledge for years. Almost everybody who did or does image with any of the various ED80 models favours the WO Type II over the other WO models.

The new Synta-made FF/FR (Orion and Sky-Watcher branded) designed specifically for the ED80, ED100 and ED120 are getting good write-ups now too.
