I perfer the non HST because it doesn't have the star halo thing going on. Great images. Pleased with the TMB? (I can guess the answer!)

An up close and personal shot like this was one of my hopes for the TS OAG with the 8" but still waitng... will i get a workign OAG before she disappears!!!

Very nice! I think I'm with Olly on the non HST version. The stars just look a bit more natural.

stars arent everything, and the aim of narrowband is the nebula itself.

so both i like but i prefer the HST version best....

Olly - Yes...the star points in H-A are amazing... had an FWHM in Art capture of 1.38 last night...lowest I have ever had from here. Micro focus really helps..going to use the Bahtinov (thank you Peter!) next time on all channels

yes Nick, definitely use the mask between channels even if your filters are parfocal. the tiniest bit of adjustment pays big rewards with long exposure narrowband shots.

Yup, coming sadly to that conclusion after seeing the soft focus OIII from last night on supposedly parfocal astronomik filters... ho hum...
