Mounting bracket

I'm ready purchase a Skywatcher Maksutov 127 scope from FLO but i don't want the mount what comes with it because some are quite heavy & bulky. I want to attach it to a normal camera tripod for portability, what bracket will i need or does it come with one?

Depends which bundle you go for re "heavy & bulky". TBH the ALt-Az or supatrack won't be too bad at all, even the EQ 3 would'nt be too bad. Mounting it on a photo tripod would work, if the tripod was butch enough but tracking planets what with hand tremors wouldn't be much fun.

Why not try 'em 1st, if you're not impressed flog the mount .

The Mak 127 has a rail attached to it which will allow direct attachment to a photo tripod.
