Theres a guy on Cloudynights who's had a quick play with one. He was impressed with the views but thers was mirror shift at high powers and the scope took about 1 hour to cool down (no shocks with either of those two "problems" TBH)

Does the new MAK come with a SCT thread on the back?... could always stick a WO Crayford on there to sort the image shift.

Rob I think I am right in saying the synta 6" and the 180 maks have a non standard cell thread that won't take the usual SCT stuff. Not quite sure why they did that! I actually owned the skymax pro 6" mak for a while and it was rather impressive optically , albeit with the large image shift through focus . It was optically much better than the OMC140 deluxe I owned so hopefully the 180 should be more of the same.
