Ptolemaeus & Albategnius - Skymax 127

Dear All,

I recently had my SPC900NC modded with new B&W sensor. It is noticeably more sensitive to light and ability to record RAW images mean wavelet sharpening at level 1 (in Registax) is much more responsive.

First image is mosaic from 21/02/10 of Ptolemaeus and Albategnius craters. Seeing was OK but quite wobbly for parts (Leeds UK). Used 2.5x Powermate with Skymax 127.

Second image is without Powermate, using native Skymax 127.

Thanks for looking,

Nick

Thanks for the encouragement guys, much appreciated. Yeah, I've noticed quite an improvement with the modded SPC900NC. Not bad value either. Mind you, when you factor in the 2.5x Powermate (and mod), the peripheral equipment cost more than my Skymax 127 (which I picked up for £160 S/H). Just shows you what value these Maks really are! Great scopes.

Cheers,

Nick
