mars and saturn

hi all

another clear night last night 19/2

observed mars again but this time with my c8 at 250x and tal 100 at 200x

a similar view to wednesday night in pretty good seeing again

bright npc with dark band, lots of subtle shading on the southern half of the disc, one feature which the sct picked out which my omc 140 did not show the other night was a distinct hazy bluey/white

mist over the south pole. which was distinct in the really steady moments. the tal gave a good account of its self at 200x showing all the above features apart from the hazy south pole.

saturn was just clearing my neighbours roof top so the seeing was pretty poor , but had to have a qiuck look with the tal giving the sharpest view, a definite case of less is more with titan, rhea and dione all visible.

clear skies
