light box question?

ive been looking around at making a light box and that got me thinking (something pretty dangerous for me!!).

nowdays alot of people use laptops in conjunction with their astronomy exploits - so woudl it work making the background to white, point the scope at it and shot?

Or buy some Foam Board & make a lightbox.
