Night vision for astro

Anyone know where i can get a dirt cheap night vision device (so i can see more stars lol)

Plus it would be useful to have when at a starparty and i dont wanna trip over people or blind them with a torch

I have an old Russian T3C-2 night sight that was kindly donated to me a couple of years ago. It is great for stargazing. First time I used it I was absolutely amased at how much more showed up in the night sky though the sight. The sight can be picked up off ebay for between £30 - £60.

Thanks for the imfo mate... I have looked on ebay but cant find anything all like yukon doodads for like £400!!! ouch. Will keep looking

You can pick up old military intensifiers for ~45 quid delivered on ebay. Then you hook up some power, and a lens either end and you're in business! A bit on the builky side, but you'll not get a cheaper NV device me thinks.
