Baader Laser Collimator problem with batteries

Hi all, I have a baader Laser that is giving me battery trouble. Can anyone advise what batteries they use. I use 3 duracell 675 hearing aid batteries but the beam is very weak even when new. I have read on the net that they suffer from diode failure, before I bin it anyone got any advice!

I had same problem, when I changed batteries I got something that was equivalent to the ones that came, so the site said. They weren't. Hearing aid batterries didn't work. I searched for the ones that came in it and got them cheaply of some website. ended up getting 10 or 20 of them cause they were cheap. Think they're AG13 's. Works a treat now.
