Orion's SSAG+ST80 package..UK vendors?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of anyone selling Qrion's 'Awesome Autoguider Refractor Package' in the UK?

So far I've found it with SCSAstro AltairAstro. I'm wandering if there are any other UK sellors SGL members have found..?

Why would you want to use the Orion SSAG??? The drivers are proprietory and I understand difficulty interfacing with imaging programs (later, when you want to image with it - and you will!)

IMHO I'd look at getting a QHY5 (same CCD chip) + ST80 combo.....

Its gonna be just used to autoguide with PHD. I've got a DSLR as an imager.

PHD seems to be fine with the SSAG, and given the package appears to be fairly comprehensive, I'm expecting it to be plug and play.

I've gotta agree with Merlin I'm afraid. The QHY5 +ST80 would offer the same plus !!! (Lunar cam )

Don't know re "package" but try Bern at Modern Astronomy
