Unexpected Mars, Jan 25th

The 24th/25th of Jan was great because despite forecasts of wall to wall cloud, the day was clear for solar imaging and the night clear for Mars. Doesn't seem to happen like that very often unless it's the other way round!

Unfortunately the seeing wasn't that good for either but Registax did its magic again. At times Mars was exploding in a ball of fuzz during the imaging session. I've included a reduced size version as the eye appears to interpret some of the subtle shading detail a bit better on reduced images.
