EQ2 load bearing...?

Hi all

Just a quickie - can anyone tell me what's the maximum load the EQ2 is designed to support...?

About 4kg is stated. The Sky-Watcher 130P weighs 3.6kg and while I always found the mount stable enough with the 130 on it I think it was pretty much at its limit which would make the 4kg probably the absolute limit unless the scope was very compact which might reduce the overall strain.

One other quickie - what about the load bearing of the EQ3-2...?

Where are you finding this info AB cos I can't seem to find it...

The Orion AstroView which is the same as the EQ3-2 is rated for 12lbs and the EQ2 9lbs.
