M51, M64 and M81 with the ART285

Some first shots with Moochers Art285 that I bought, the only problem is I cleaned it and although removed most of the dust I added a few hairs in the corner.

It was a good night last night spent fighting the cold but it is not as bad here only -1.

All are on the ED80 with the ART285.

M64 is 18 x 300s

M81 is 14 x 300s

M51 is 6 x 300s

Its been good fun tonight!

yep, i have no clue how to bring out the faint detail and not burn out the core-

i will go an have a look and the processing guides.

Are you a levels , brightness and Contrast man or a curves and levels man .... From a processing point of view that is...

curves and levels but i am not really processing at all as i enjoy taking photos more than processing. BUT i have had enough of burnt out cores so need to learn some basics!

Not dissing the Tutorials on here I find video ones much easier to follow (especially if you have a dual monitor setup so can be workign on your data whilst watching them) initially...

Work through them in order and you should be fine

The core is less burnt out now.

It is a great little camera and it does seem to show a little more detail than my old camera.
