M1 and M82 13/12/09

My latest efforts from this morning.

Imaged with DSI II color, guided with DIY 9x50 and LX SPC900NC, PHD.

10 times 6 minute FITs subs stacked in DSS, prodded randomly with Gimp.

I think I over did M82 in Gimp, and the M1 is starting to look 'bloomed' down the left side.

Constructive comments for next time welcomed please!

I think the M1 capture is great, you have captured a lot of filament structure within M1.

As you say slightly overdone on M82 but at least it's a great start.

Catanonia, managed to get onto PS CS3. Since the weather is so carp I've just used the raw M1 fits from a few weeks ago over and over, trying different things in DSS and PS to get used to using things.

Finally got some color to it (though not necessarily the right ones:icon_scratch:).

Getting there mate and good that you got CS3, it will help you alot.

Certainly getting some structure, just concentrate on exposures lengths, focus etc.
