First Light with my first mono camera!

Having had my one shot colour CCD modified to mono I have been 'chomping at the bit' to at least try it out and tonight I had my first opportunity to do so - naturally I kept the 'horsey theme' going! Not exactly an awe-inspiring image but at least I know that the camera works. 10 X 300 second subs. with an SXVF-H9, IDAS LP filter, 8" Skywatcher 8" Newtonian and Baader MPCC on my EQ6, autoguided.

I think you are going to enjoy the mono experience Steve. Look at all that Ha from 50 mins. Did they actually take off the matrix or rechip the camera?

They installed a new mono chip, Martin - I still have the colour one as well so I can go back to OSC if I want to in the future although I do still have my M25C for that! Pity that the transparency was so bad tonight but at least I got some photons to test it with!
