Bluetooth to Serial for CPC control

Has anyone had any luck with using the cheapo serial to bluetooth converters for controlling a CPC 925 remotely via a notebook?

I've just bought a Bluetooth Serial Adapter recently.

I had to buy a Bluetooth Dongle for the Laptop, and have got them talking to each other . I'm hoping to control a Meade LX90 with it.

That is exactly the same Bluetooth to serial adapter that I have! I think it needs a crossover connection when connecting to the scope. I am getting a cable tomorrow and will let you know if that is what is required.

Hi Nebula

I was looking into this about a year ago for a LX200GPS

Supernova, I got the impression from the technical info that two RS232-Bluetooth units were required.

If only one and a dongle is sufficient that's good news price-wise.

Nebula, also thought the unit could be configured to be straight-through or cross-over, but it was some time ago.
