You have an SCT - I dont know from direct experience but I believe these tend to get dew on the corrector plate (the big bit of glass on the front). You may need a dew heater as well as a dewshield.

I never seem to have this problem with my baby sized Mak but I have probably just been lucky.

In really dewey conditions, as Astro_Baby says, you may well need a heated dew band as well as the dew shield. Schmidt and Maksutov scopes are really prone to dewing because of the glass element right at the front of the tube. Refractors feature that as well of course but for some reason a decent dew shield has always been an integral part of the refractor design but its not with schmidts and maks :headbang:
